Emma Mae Rhyne Keever
( November 3, 1928 - January 20, 2020 )
Emma Mae Rhyne Keever, age 91, of Furnace Road Extension in Lincolnton, died on Monday, January 20, 2020.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Glenn Roseman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Keever was born November 3, 1928, in Lincoln County, to the late Ulysses George Rhyne and Mary Elizabeth Wilkinson Rhyne . In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Andrew Keever; a son, Steve Keever; and a brother, Roy Rhyne. She worked in textiles at Mohican Mills.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail Parent, and husband Gregg, of South Carolina, and Donna Keever of Lincolnton; a son, Timothy “Buck” Keever, and wife Mindy, of Lincolnton; a sister, Martha Rhyne of Charlotte; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207, or to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 4051 King Wilkinson Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
