Wayne Lee Grigg
( January 18, 1939 - February 1, 2020 )
Wayne Lee Grigg, age 81, of Grigg Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, February 1, 2020.
His funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Grigg was born on January 18, 1939 and was the son of the late Norman Everett Grigg and Mary Seagle Grigg. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary “Jeanette” Ward Grigg and his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Glenda Grigg. He was retired from McGinnis Brothers Construction.
Mr. Grigg is survived by his daughter, Sherry Grigg of Lincolnton; his brother, Ralph Grigg and wife, Lavon of Cherryville; his niece, Deana Johnson and husband, Carroll of Lincolnton; his great niece, Jessica Towery and husband, Brad; his great-nephew, Taylor Johnson and wife, Jessica; his great-great-niece, Kaylon Towery and his close friend, Tina McClain.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 4102 West Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
