Joyce Mace Pope

Joyce Mace Pope, age 89 of Lincolnton, died on Friday, February 28, 2020.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at First Wesleyan Church in Lincolnton with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Pope was born May 15, 1930, in Lincoln County, to the late Robert B. and Bertie Hoyle Mace. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wylie Raymond Pope; sisters, Dorthy Hedspeth, Geraldine Hallman, Maxine Alexander, and Ricki Barrett; and brother, Hank Mace. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by her four sons, Randy Pope (Sallie) of Lincolnton, Robert “Robby” Pope (Janet) of Mooresville, Tim Pope (Debbie) of Lincolnton, and Todd Pope of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Josh Pope (Rachael), Chelsea Burbick (Brian), Ben Pope (Christy), Chystal Pope, Janson Pope, and Daniel Pope; and eight great-grandchildren, Aurora, Keira, Caylin, Julian, and Sephora Wyatt, Lincoln Pope, Kennedy and William Burbick.
