Mary Emma Smith

Mary Emma Smith, age 85 of Vale, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Teddy Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith was born December 7, 1934, in Davie County, to the late Hubert Emmons Julian and Elva Bruno Davis Julian. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Boyd Smith; a grandson, Jackie Cape; and two sons, Ricky Cape and Jeffrey Cape.
She is survived by three sons, Marvin Cape of Vale, James Cape (Jodi) of Salisbury, and Alvin Cape (Judy) of Statesville; a daughter, Barbara Eddins of Vale; a sister, Maggie Essick of Lexington, NC; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society, PO Box 23, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
