John Ray Elmore

John Ray Elmore, age 84, of 226 Lariat Drive in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
A private graveside service will be held with Rev. Mike Devine officiating. Mr. Elmore will lie in state from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Warlick Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Elmore was born September 4, 1935, in Lincoln County, to the late Arvil and Ethel Avery Elmore. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Elmore, and a daughter, Teresa Setzer. He was a principal for the Lincoln County School system.
He is survived by a granddaughter, Allesa “Ally” Setzer of Lincolnton.
