Milly Chaffin Hord, age 75 of Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a later date.
Mrs. Hord was born January 3, 1945, in Lincoln County, to the late Joseph Henry Chaffin and Bertha Ewing Chaffin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lamar Hord, Sr. She worked as a sales representative for American Tobacco.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. “Chip” Hord, Jr. of Charlotte, and Steven D. Hord, and wife Melanie of Lincolnton; two sisters, Judy Stover of Cherryville, and Debbie Chaffin of Shelby; three grandchildren, Addison Hord, Abby Hord, and Derek Hord; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
