Elaine Black Cook, age 62, of W. Old Highway 150 in Crouse, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020.
Mrs. Cook will lie in state at Warlick Funeral Home on Monday, March 23, 2020 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM without family members present.
A private graveside service will be held at Leonards Fork Baptist Church Cemetery due to recent government health restrictions.
Mrs. Cook was born May 29, 1957 in Lincoln County to the late Robert and Margaret Hoffman Black. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Denise Auton. She worked as a CNA. She also was a former member of Crouse Fire Department.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Cook of the home; two sons, Jason Cook and wife Lisa of Cherryville and Justin Cook and wife Cheyenne of Iron Station; two grandsons who she loved dearly, Taylor Cook and Keaton Cook.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658 or to Leonards Fork Baptist Church, 1462 Leonards Fork Church Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
