Mary Garnette Dennard

Mary Garnette Dennard, age 95, of Saint Cloud, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on March 28, 2020 after a fierce battle with MDS.
Mary Garnette was born on September 1, 1924 in Alexander County, N.C. to Marsh and Iris (Mayberry) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Edward Dennard, of 51 years of marriage; and 8 siblings. She lived many years in N.C., and throughout the eastern US, and finally settled in Florida. First living in Palm Coast with her late husband Stewart and finally relocating to Saint Cloud where she was adored by her wonderful neighbors.
Mary Garnette will be remembered with love by her sister Emerlee Marlow; beloved children Linda Ortiz and husband Rudy, Joseph Dennard and wife Linda, and George Dennard and wife Marlaney; treasured grandchildren, Sean Ortiz and wife Lisa, Sonya Crofton and husband Timothy, Shelley Ortiz, Sarah Ortiz, Heather Hudson and husband Danny, and Melissa Kimmons; great grandchildren Emily, Eli and Ian Ortiz, Sebastian and Flynn Crofton, Aaron and Brian Hudson, and Elizabeth, Joey and Aiden Kimmons; and great great grandchildren Alaura and Grayson.
Mary Garnette loved gardening. “spending time with nature” and “playing in the dirt” were some of her favorite things to do. She loved trips down backroads, “exploring” the woods, and trips to the beach. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren put the biggest smile on her face and they all loved “nana”.
She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton, N.C.. Funeral arrangements will be made by Warlick Funeral Home, Lincolnton, N.C.
