Shirley Wilson Poteat

Shirley Wilson Poteat, age 84 of East Rhodes Street in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Shirley was born October 28, 1935, in Lincoln County, to the late Arlo H. Wilson and Georgia Abernethy Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, David Wilson. She worked as a radiography transcriptionist.
She is survived by three daughters, Kim Holman, and husband Mark, of Lincolnton, Lin Rasch, and husband Fred, of Greensboro, and Dawn Cox, and husband Kevin, of Maiden; two grandsons, Caleb Grooms and Hunter Hensley; and two great-grandsons, Peyton Grooms and Cannon Grooms.
A memorial service for Ms. Poteat will be held at a later date.
