Sybil Keener Norman
( April 4, 1943 - April 12, 2020 )
“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” Psalm 46:5
Sybil Keener Norman, age 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 12, 2020. She loved Easter Sunday, and God chose this day of resurrection to bring his child home.
Sybil was a humble, yet beautiful and ageless woman inside and out. She was a selfless, kind and generous person who would always put those in need above herself. Christmas was a special time for her, and she will always be remembered for her delicious cakes that she gave to family, friends, and church members.
Her perfect day was walking on the beach and being outside on a warm sunny afternoon. We will always remember the beautiful flowers she would always have in her yard.
She is preceded in death by Yates and Pauline Keener (parents); Jean Laney, Dot Canipe, Millie Price, and Jewell Lockman (sisters); Daryl Keener and Pete Keener (brothers). Surviving siblings, Nelson Chapman of Arkansas and Janice Surratte of South Carolina, and Dale Norman of Lincolnton (former spouse), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
We will always love and miss you Aunt Sybil!
Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
