Joey Allen Sanders, age 64, of 1960 Chapman-Wyant Lane in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
Joey was born February 3, 1956, in Roanoke, Virginia, to Carvin Tessie Kingery Sanders and the late Ernest Ethferidge Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angel Marie Jenkins. He served in the United States Navy and then later retired from Unifour Fire and Safety.
He is survived by his wife, Freda Faith Perry Sanders of the home; a son, Cody Allen Sanders, and wife Michelle, of Hickory; a daughter, Tonia Sanders of Winston-Salem; ex-wife, Linda Sanders of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Tina Holland Carter, and husband Mike, of High Point, and Nancy Asbury of High Point; stepson, Jimmy Stout of Lincolnton; step-daughter, Becky Stout of Newton; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Services are being planned for a later date.
