Jerry Kenneth Saine, Sr.

Jerry Kenneth Saine, Sr. of Vale, North Carolina died Sunday, May 17, 2020 at his home, surrounded by family.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 11:00 am. Mr. Saine will lie in state at Warlick Funeral Home from 1:00 until 4:00 pm on Monday, May 18, 2020. No family will be present.
Ken was born on December 25, 1940 to the late John Wesley and Prue Saine of Vale. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Smith and her husband, Bud Smith, and a grandson Timothy Drum.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alta Bentley Saine of Vale; his sons, Jerry Kenneth Saine, Jr. and wife Lisa Saine; Terry Allton Saine and wife Sandy Saine; daughter Sherry Saine; grandchildren Ashley Elmore (Zac), Jon Drum (Leslie), Michael Drum, Terran Saine, Taylor Saine, Leah Saine; great-grandson Zane Elmore; a brother Max Saine (Elaine); a sister Marie Clark (Wayne).
Ken was known throughout the community as the founder of Saine Ace Hardware and Garden Center in 1964. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir, and went on adventures with the Senior Saints.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 493 Calvary Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092 or Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
