Virginia “Ginny” Chaney Stamey, age 79, of Taswell Lane in Lincolnton, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, June 6, 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.  Mrs. Stamey will be at Warlick Funeral Home on Sunday, June 7, 2020, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. for those who wish to pay their respects.  The family will not be present during this time.

Mrs. Stamey was born April 23, 1941 in Laurens, SC to the late W.P. “Bill” and Lois Wright Chaney.  Ginny was a kind, caring, loving person.  She was always making up for others.

She is survived by two sisters, Janie Taylor of Lincolnton, Peggy Dyke of Lincolnton; one brother, Bud Chaney, Sr. of Lincolnton; numerous nieces and nephews and fur baby Lexie.
