Obituaries

William “Bill” Earl Maynor, Jr., age 79, of 383 Franks Road, Lincolnton passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020.

His funeral will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Massapoag Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.  His body will lie in state at Warlick Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020. The family will not be present during this time.

Mr. Maynor was born on April 19, 1941 and was the son of the late William Earl Maynor, Sr. and Ruby Hedrick Maynor.  He was retired from Duke Energy as a mechanic and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Maynor is survived by his wife, Wavie Mitchell Maynor of Lincolnton; one son, Ronnie A. Maynor and wife, Wanda of Gastonia; three daughters, Wavie M. Wojtal of Lincolnton, April M. Walden of Lincolnton and Peggy Silvers and husband, Mike of Marion; two brothers, Larry Maynor of Lincolnton and Rondal Maynor of Florida; three sisters, Mary Huffstetler of Lincolnton, Gina Maynor of Lincolnton and Brenda Powell of Florida; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
