John William Cole, Jr., age 74, of N. Cedar Street in Lincolnton, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020.
Mr. Cole was born July 10, 1946, in Union, South Carolina, to the late John William Cole, Sr., and Ruby Elizabeth Hall Cole. In addition to his parents, a son, John William Cole, III, two sisters, Carol Brashear and Ella Merck, as well as a granddaughter, Sydney Cole, preceded him. John served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and later worked in furniture manufacturing.
He is survived by a son, Shane Cole (Gen) of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Tracy Cole of Kings Mountain; a brother, Michael G. Cole (Billie Jean) of Lincolnton; a sister, June Parker of Maiden; five grandchildren, Britny Hovis, Isaiah Cole, Samara Cole, Nicholas Cole, and Isabella Cole; and two great-grandchildren, Kendrah Cole and Elias Hendren.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
