Bryan Eugene Underwood

Bryan Eugene Underwood, age 75, of Bessemer City, died on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
Mr. Underwood was born February 19, 1945, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to the late Roy Murl Underwood and Gladys Underwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Underwood. He was retired from Northwest Airlines. He served in the United States Army from 1966 – 1967 with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade. He earned a combat badge and a bronze star for valor in combat during the Vietnam War. He loved the outdoors, animals, fast cars and motorcycles. He valued honesty and was as true a friend as one could be.
Bryan is survived by his special friend, Helen Carpenter; nephew, Roger Todd Underwood; niece, Tamara Kim; the surviving members of the 196, and numerous devoted friends. He will be greatly missed.
