Rusty Lee Carpenter
( February 25, 1977 - July 24, 2020 )
Mr. Rusty Lee Carpenter, age 43, of 1085 W. Highway 27 in Lincolnton, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29th, at Lincoln Country Club with Rev. Jaie Warlick and Rev. Robert Goins officiating. The family will have visitation following the service. Casual dress is recommended as that was Rusty's style.
Rusty was born February 25, 1977 to Lucinda "Cindy" Isenhour Milburn and the late Terry Everette Carpenter. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents Carolyn and Everette Carpenter, Nell and Coley Wood, and Billy Isenhour.
Rusty was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was most proud of his boys. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and traveling to wrestling events near and far. He loved his village of people and he loved big!
Rusty is survived by devoted wife, Elizabeth Ross Carpenter, sons Hunter and Will. He is also survived by his mom Cindy Isenhour Milburn (Larry), stepmom Charlsie Carpenter, sisters Heather Fredell, Kaylon Hovis (Kyle), sister-in-love Sarah Ross, step sister Tammy Fae, step brother Chad Milburn, sisters–in-law Heather Cooke, Angie Drewery (JC), Mia Cooke, in-laws, Kathy Knight (Lee) and Butch Ross (Joette), as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins! He was also survived by his beloved dog Fenway Gable, devoted cousins Tim Ellis and Drew Ellis Mullen, along with his wrestling family, golf family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics of Lincoln County, 1685 Hines Circle, Stanley, NC 28164 or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 199 Water St. 11th Floor, New York, NY 10038.
