James Thomas Leatherman, III, age 77 of Crouse died Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Mr. Leatherman was born October 28, 1942 in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late James T. Leatherman, Jr. and Mary Huss Leatherman. He was a truck driver at Carolina Freight Carriers in Cherryville, NC. Mr. Leatherman was a veteran of the US Army serving during Korean Conflict.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse. Pastor Rick Sloop will officiate. Social distancing and masks will be required. Inurnment will be at St Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. For those who wish, you may come by Warlick Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. to pay your respects. The family will not be present. The family will be at the home, 2818 Old West 150, Crouse, NC 28033.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sain Leatherman of the home; brother, Lonnie Joe Leatherman of Lincolnton; daughter, Amanda Mault and husband Rob of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Mandi Scronce of Vale, Matthew Mault of Charlotte and Nathan Mault (Nina) of Vale; two great grandchildren, Gray Mault and James Thomas “J.T.”Mault.
