Jean Brotherton Lawing, age 86, of Lincolnton, died on Monday, August 10, 2020.
A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Eric Reel officiating.
Mrs. Lawing was born August 24, 1933, in Lincoln County, to the late Sloan Brotherton and Gladys Brotherton Brotherton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Raymond Lawing, Jr. She worked in shipping at General Shoelace
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Lawing of Lincolnton; brother, Elrie Steven Brotherton of Mooresville; sister, Phyllis Ann Brotherton of Cornelius; niece, Donna Katz (Gary) of Mooresville; nephew, Michael Steven Brotherton of Supply, NC; and a great-nephew, Justin Katz.
