Earl Sherron Peeler, Sr.

Earl Sherron Peeler, Sr., age 89, of 123 Rock Hill Lane in Lincolnton, died on Friday, August 21, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020, at Woodside Church of our Savior cemetery. He will lie in state from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Earl was born May 13, 1931, in Lincoln County, to the late Richard Duncan Peeler and Zola Belle Carter Peeler. In addition to his parents, his first wife, Louise Sain Peeler; his second wife, Evelyn Peeler; three brothers, J.R. Peeler, Lewis Peeler and Harry Peeler; and two sisters, Lib Auton and Pat Sain preceded him. Earl served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, then later retired from Vermont American.
He is survived by a son, Earl S. Peeler, Jr., and wife Ramey, of Lincolnton; two daughters, Sherry Workman, and husband Ronny, and Connie Smith, and Tony Plasters, all of Lincolnton; two brothers, Jerry Peeler and Ronnie Peeler, all of Lincolnton; a sister, Clara Abernathy of Cherryville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and stepson, Joey Smith, and wife Lynn, of Lincolnton.
