Christopher Edward Averitt

Christopher Edward Averitt, age 49, of Winding Creek Lane in Denver, died on Monday, August 24, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020, in the Denver United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Autry officiating. His body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Chris was born October 9, 1970, in Mecklenburg County, to Charles “Chuck” Edward Averitt and Frances Byrum Averitt. He served in the Army National Guard and worked as a consultant for Flexographic Trade Services.
He is survived by his wife, Lesley Starnes Averitt of the home; two daughters, Lauren A. Visi-Clark (Joshua) of Greenville, SC, and Courtney Averitt (fiancé, Hunter Erb) of Denver, NC; parents, Chuck and Frances Averitt of Taylorsville, NC; brother, Eric Jason Averitt (Laticia) of Stoney Point, NC; mother and father-in-law, Carlton and Lois Starnes of Denver; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Kimberly Camp of Sanford, NC; grandmother, Irene Starnes of Newton, NC; nephew, Frankie Averitt of Stoney Point, NC; and nieces, Emily Camp Singh (Justin) of Charlotte, NC, and Stephanie Camp Barwick of Joplin, MO. He had many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
