David Samuel Storey, age 80, of 4585 Barley Court in Iron Station, died on Thursday, August 27, 2020.
David was born July 17, 1940, in Downington, Pennsylvania, to the late Henry and Elizabeth Dunn Storey. He worked for the ambulance service as a paramedic, EMS, Lincoln County and East Lincoln Rescue Squad, Comm. Center, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, the 321 and South Fork fire departments, was a CPR and EMT instructor through Gaston College, and a McGuire Nuclear Station security officer and EMT. The man completed his bucket list of scuba diving, rappelling, photography, hiking, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Snyder Storey of the home; three daughters, Claudette Hambrick of Belmont, Krista Shelton of South Carolina, and Melissa Tindall (J.J.) of Iron Station; a brother, Howard Thomas Storey of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Lisa Ellis, Rocky Allen Mathis, Jr., Robert Bennett, Nicole Alexandria Rayfield, Caitlin Olivia Jackson, Bailey Elizabeth Tindall, and Holden Bryan Tindall; and thirteen and a half great-grandchildren.
Services will be planned for a later date.
