Ronnie Newton

Ronnie Newton, age 76, of 3034 Brady Hoffman Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Ronnie was born July 30, 1944, to the late Charles Hugh “Cotton” Newton and Jean Byers Newton. In addition to his parents, his wife, Linda Vance Newton, and a brother, Hugh Lee Newton, preceded him. He worked as a welder for Freightliner.
He is survived by two sons, Chuck Newton and Bobby Newton, both of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, David Newton, Billy Newton, and Brad Newton; and five great-grandchildren, Bryan Newton, Gunner Rollins, Mallory Rollins, Sam Newton, and Will Watts.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
