Obituaries

Dorothy Sherrill Sigmon Schronce, age 92, of The Brian Center, Lincolnton passed away on Sunday, September  6, 2020. 

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 in the Arbor of Rock Springs Campground in Denver with Rev. Billy Towery officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the Arbor.

Dottie was born on July 27, 1928 and was the daughter of the late, Houston Howard and Lottie Helton Sherrill.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Monroe Sherrill and Griffin Sherrill and three sisters, Ruby Caldwell, Lois Bean and Nancy Sherrill.  Dottie retired as a bookkeeper in the medical field.

She is survived by one son, John Howard Sigmon (Arlene) of Denver, NC; two daughters, Marsha Sigmon McCall (Danny) of Denver, NC and Joanne Sigmon Charles (Larry) of Mooresville; three grandchildren, Matt McCall (Meredith), Sara McCall and Melia Sigmon; two great-grandchildren, Maverik McCall and Mallorie McCall.
