Obituaries

Christine Hoyle Craig, age 95, of Lackey Road, Vale passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Hull’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Farmer officiating.  Her body will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Craig was born on August 8,1925 and was the daughter of the late Harrison and Eva Jane Carothers Hoyle.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Forest Craig, one brother, Donald Hoyle and two sisters, Vivian Willis and Bernice Houser.  Mrs. Craig retired as a supervisor in the textile industry.

She is survived by one son, Arnold Craig of Vale; two daughters, Judy Howell of Vale and Loretta Costner of Vale; her step-sister, Belinda Watts of Cherryville; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
