Obituaries

Elsie Marie Fisher, age 97, of Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of Vale, died on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Reeps Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Fulker officiating.  The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.  The family will not be present during this time.

Ms. Fisher was born March 16, 1923, in Lincoln County, to the late Charles Lester Fisher and Roxanna Deadmon Fisher.  She worked in textiles.

She is survived by a son, Gene Brown of Shelby; a daughter, Martha Brittain of Vale; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
