Doris Joan Land Dalton

Doris Joan Land Dalton, age 75, of Calvary Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 11, 2020 in the Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Brooks officiating. Mrs. Dalton will lie in state on Thursday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home. The family will not be present during this time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Mrs. Dalton was born June 23, 1945, in Lincoln County, to the late Flossie Mosteller Land Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Braxton Dalton; brother, Eddie Land; and brother-in-law, Joseph Robinson. She worked in textiles for JP Stevens.
She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Rikard (Marty), and Patty Dalton, all of Lincolnton; three brothers, Jimmy Land (Julie) of Crouse, Roger Land (Pam) of Dallas, and Bill Land (Mary Ennis) of Lincolnton; four sisters, Glenda Robinson of Gastonia, Martha Weaver (Paul) of Lincolnton, Betty Warlightner of Lincolnton, and Annette Hartman (Glenn) of Shelby; and six grandchildren, Braxton Rikard, Andrew Dalton, Bailey Rikard, Eilainia Ballenger, Brayden Rikard, and Abigail Ballenger.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
