Clark Gamble Keener

Clark Gamble Keener, age 84, of 4274 Candlewood Drive in Sherrills Ford, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Setzer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Friday.
Mr. Keener was born July 11, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Fred and Florence Farmer Keener. In addition, he was also preceded by a daughter, Debra Parker; grandson, Dustin Hester; sister, Doris McMurray; and brother, Fred Keener, Jr. He worked as a truck driver for Carolina Freight Carriers.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Jones Keener of the home; three daughters, Lindsey Gambrielle Keener of the home, Tammi Abernethy (Miles) of Long Shoals, and Taffy Keener of Lincolnton; one son, Scott Stamey (Wendy) of Newton; seven grandchildren, Emma, Bailey, Zane, Landon, Devan, Jessica, and Randi; and a brother, Charlie Keener (Dolly) of Lincolnton.
