Galen Peterson

Galen Peterson, age 77, of Dave Peterson Lane in Vale, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
A graveside service for Mr. Peterson will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Danny Ledford officiating.
Mr. Peterson was born April 9, 1943, in Mitchell County, North Carolina, to the late Dave and Cora Cooper Peterson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Suddreth Peterson. He retired from the Gaston County School System after 33 years.
He is survived by a son, Duane Peterson, and wife Teresa, of Lincolnton; a daughter, Beverly Childers, and husband Scott, of Lincolnton; a sister, Betty Leonhardt of Vale; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
