William Gary Sparks, age 68, of Iron Station, passed on October 12, 2020.
Gary was born March 3, 1952, in Elkin, NC and was the son of William Carl Sparks, Jr. and Mary Geneva Prevette Sparks.
He graduated from UNC Charlotte School of Engineering in 1976 and pursued a career as a HVAC Design Engineer for 30 years before retiring in 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon R. Sparks of the home; son, Christopher Sparks, and wife Stephanie, of Rural Hall; a daughter, Christina Britt, and husband Ernest, of Wake Forest; and son, Scott Sparks, and fiancee’ Kristen, of Winston-Salem.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
