Margaret Louise Goodson Engle
( November 2, 1930 - October 15, 2020 )
Margaret Louise Goodson Engle, age 89, of Somerset Court in Cherryville, and formerly of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, October 15, 2020.
Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Hulls Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her body will lie in state from 3:00 until 3:45 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Engle was born November 2, 1930, in Lincoln County, to the late John Henry Goodson and Lillian Bynum Goodson. In addition, she was preceded by her husband, Ralph Blaine Engle; two sisters, Virginia Martin and Mary Rozelle; and a brother, John Goodson. She worked in housekeeping at Brian Center.
She is survived by a son, Mark Engle of Lincolnton; four daughters, Ralphine Reynolds, and husband Roy, and LuAnn Adams, and husband Fred, all of Lincolnton, Tara Crotts, and husband Jeffrey, of Lawndale, and Nina Sigmon, and Patrick, of Lincolnton; a sister, Joy Brewster of Iron Station; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Nelva Goodson and Prue Gantt.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
