Janice Ophelia Cody Lail, age 67, of Vale, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
Janice was born December 26, 1952, in Lincoln County, to the late Alfred and Bertie Smith Cody. She was retired from the furniture industry.
She is survived by her husband, David E. Lail of the home; a son, Nicholas E. Lail of Vale; two daughters, Christina Louise Owensby, and Amy Owensby Kapinski, both of Lincolnton; a brother, Floyd Cody of Lincolnton; a sister, Donna C. McAlister of Gaston County; and five grandchildren, Taylor McCumber, Dawson Beard, Donavon Ervin, Carly Beard, and Rhylie Deviney.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
