Obituaries
A lifelong native of Lincoln County, Stacey attended West Lincoln High School and Gaston College. She earned the Silver Award in Girl Scouts and was in the West Lincoln High School Marching Band. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Stacey is survived by her dearly-loved children, Kaylah Loftin, Olivia Duren and Joshua Duren; her granddaughter, Makensie Loftin, whom she adored; her brothers, Trey Loftin and Joel Loftin and his wife, Jennifer Eudy Loftin; her sister, Elaina Loftin Hovis and her husband, Chris Hovis; her nieces and nephews, Gavin, Maddie, Ivey, Gracie, and Ollie.
Stacey loved life and people. She could put a smile on anyone’s face and lighten their mood with her cheerful, fun-loving laughter. Stacey enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. Perhaps one of her friends said it best, “Stacey was such a lively and loving person. It is amazing how many people she has touched and made their lives better. Stacey has made such a wonderful impact on this world, and right now she’s singing the praises of Our Lord in Heaven. We will miss her and mourn her, but lift praise that she is the happiest she could be right now.”
A Celebration of Stacey’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials honoring Stacey may be made by visiting www.tmcfunding.com (search Stacey Duren) to make a donation to help provide future funds for her cherished granddaughter, Makensie.
