Martha Sigmon Jarrett

Martha Sigmon Jarrett, age 94, of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Mike Collins officiating. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing will be required. The body will lie in state from 12:00 until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home for those wishing to sign the guest register.
Mrs. Jarrett was born June 27, 1926, in Catawba County, to the late Robert Alexander Sigmon and Mary Lou Cline Sigmon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Jarrett, Sr., and eight siblings. Martha was the co-owner of Jarrett’s Laundry and Cleaners.
She is survived by a son, Fred E. Jarrett, Jr., and wife June, of Lincolnton; daughter, Dara Jarrett of Lincolnton; and grandson, Brett Jarrett, and wife Alice, of Lincolnton; and sister, Peggy S. Mayes, and husband Rowe, of Hickory.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Stained Glass Window Fund, 216 S. Aspen Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
