Vivian Harstin Spencer

Vivian Harstin Spencer, age 94, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton, and formerly of Denver, died on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Holly with Rev. Danny Penny officiating.
Ms. Spencer was born November 10, 1926, in Gaston County, to the late George and Gladys Harstin Mahaffey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Henry, Sr.; two sons, Mackie Spencer and Albert Spencer. She was a minister of the Gospel, and worked in textiles.
She is survived by a son, Carl Henry Spencer, Jr., and wife Elizabeth, of Washington State; two daughters, Elaine Dyer, and husband Rev. James Dyer, of Iron Station and Linda S. Nixon, and husband James, of Denver; one sister, Patricia Robbins of Gastonia; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church, 113 E. Parkwood Street, Stanley, NC 28164.
