Michael Lee Ormand

Michael Lee Ormand, age 72, of Lincolnton, died on Friday, January 8, 2021.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Risen Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Houser officiating.
Mr. Ormand was born May 9, 1948, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Walter Lee Ormand and Edna Carpenter Ormand. He was the general manager for Pattons Incorporated for 43 years. Mr. Ormand was a member of Risen Baptist Church and served on the Board of Directors for the South Fork Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Carpenter Ormand of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Hopper (Billy), of Lincolnton, and Lisa Ormand Thornton (Dale), of Lincolnton; two sons, Kenny Ormand (Lynn), of Lincolnton, and Jeffery Ormand of Conover; seven grandchildren, Lauren Ormand Lawing (Chris), of Lincolnton, Michael Pendleton, Brittany Ormand Carroll (Grayson), Noah Pendleton, Katie Pendleton, Skylar Lafferty, and Christian McKinney; one great-grandchild, Weston Lawing; his best friend and loyal companion, Ted; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Risen Baptist Church Building Fund, 571 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
