Hazelene Weaver Rhodes
( October 1, 1931 - February 15, 2021 )
Hazelene Weaver Rhodes, age 89, of Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of Vale, died on Monday, February 15, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021, in Hollybrook Cemetery with Rev. J.V. Allen officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Warlick Funeral Home for those wishing to sign the guest register.
Mrs. Rhodes was born October 1, 1931, in Lincoln County to the late Russell and Cora Seagle Weaver. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Flint Rhodes; son, Jeffrey Paul Rhodes; daughter, Teresa Rhodes Hight; and brother, James Ray “Buck” Weaver. She formerly worked at Burlington Mills, and later Teen’s Seafood.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara “Bobbie” Burleson (Larry) of Lincolnton, and Sandra Kay Tallent (Gary Wayne) of Vale; brother, Paul “Booty” Weaver of Lincolnton; sister, Betty Sue McGinnis of Lincolnton; sister-in-law, Barbara Weaver of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Chris Hartman (Dawn), Ricky Lane, and Krystle Grinstead (Alan); ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff, especially the nurses and CNAs at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center and Hospice and Palliative Care – Lincoln, for their kindness and care of Mrs. Rhodes.
