Mary Ramsey Houser
( January 6, 1934 - February 24, 2021 )
Mary Ramsey Houser, age 87, of Hilltop Road in Lincolnton, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021, in Hollybrook Cemetery. Her body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Friday at Warlick Funeral Home for those wishing to sign the guest register.
Mary was born January 6, 1934, in Lincoln County, to the late Lewis and Evva Pendleton Ramsey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Houser Ledbetter; grandson, Michael Ledbetter; granddaughter, Angel Leatherman; and sister, Fahy Rutledge. Mary was a faithful member of Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church for over seventy years. She and her husband John enjoyed traveling the country in their motorhome.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John L. Houser of the home; two daughters, Teresa Wyont, and husband, Steve, of Lincolnton, and Donna Leatherman, and husband, Patrick, of Vale; son-in-law, Jeff Ledbetter, of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Jason, Johnathan, Jalin, and Stephanie; and eight great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jaylise, Katie, Gracie, Clay, Jacob, Liam, and Sadie.
Memorials may be made to Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church, 520 S. Madison Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
