Gwendolyn Eaker Ballard

Gwendolyn Eaker Ballard, age 70, of The Shelby Manor in Shelby and formerly of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
Gwen was born November 17, 1950, in Lincoln County, to the late David Eaker, Sr. and Gail Gaffney Eaker. She worked as a caretaker.
She is survived by two sons, Kyle Ballard (Natasha) of Iron Station, Jeff Lawing (Shanda) of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Frank, Chris, Kyleigh, Katie and Allison; and a sister, Rhona Eaker Cathey of Weaverville, NC and a number of nephews and nieces.
A committal service will be held at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
