Elena Gil Tate
( November 29, 1935 - March 21, 2021 )
Elena Gil Tate, age 85, of Lincolnton passed away on March 21, 2021 at The Addison of Lincolnton with her family by her side. Elena was born November 29, 1935 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to the late Hector & Elena Perdomo Gil.
Elena retired as a Nurse Aide from Sharon Towers of Charlotte, NC. She cared for all her patients with love, care and a lot of laughter. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, sitting on the porch smoking and joking with her friends. Elena loved to travel, paint, knit and spending time with her family, friends, and her grandchildren. Her sister Beatriz Gil and two nephews, Enrique & Emilio spent quality time with her on visits to Argentina.
Our family was blessed to have Elena as a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she will be missed by all those who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memories are her three children: Adrian & wife Vickie Amessa, Virginia & husband, Chuck Costner, Rolando Gallo & Tiffany Fie.
Her precious grandchildren: Kenda, Gunnar & Grason Gallo, Charley & Chase Costner, Zach & Scarlet. Great grandchildren: Kleighton Gallo & Sutton Reese Holdbrooks.
The family will hold a private celebration of life to remember all the wonderful memories together. The family is very appreciative to Hospice & the staff at the Addison of Lincolnton for her wonderful care, especially in her last days.
