Obituaries

Rebecca Gilbert Robbs, age 89, of North Aspen St in Lincolnton passed away peacefully at home Monday March 29, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday April 1^st at Bethphage Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Clapp officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Becky was born October 12, 1931 in Lincoln County to the late Audie and Barbara Plonk Gilbert. She loved her family and spent many hours retelling stories of her childhood.  An excellent cook, family and friends looked forward to eating at Becky’s house. As long as she was able, active member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary and managed the VFW pool for almost 15 years.  A longtime member of Emanual Reformed Church, she loved her church and was always helping others.

Preceded in death by her 8 older brothers and sisters, and her son Roger Kim Bivens.  She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 60 years R.B.; daughter LeAnne White and husband Elliotte of Raleigh; son Mike Bivens and wife Marcia of Lincolnton; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Sue Gilbert; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
