Jerry Paul Richardson

Jerry Paul Richardson, age 79, of 7347 Henry Road in Vale, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2021, in the cemetery of Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Tommy Lineberger officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home for those wishing to sign the guest register.
Jerry was born August 22, 1941, in Caldwell County, to the late Dallas Paul and Mae Taylor Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Richardson. Jerry served in the National Guard, and later was a truck driver/independent owner for FedEx.
He is survived by his wife, Texie Wyant Richardson of the home; two daughters, Melissa R. McCarraher (Jay) of Lenoir, and Deanna R. Houser (Chris) of Hickory; brother, David Richardson (Shirley) of Vilas, NC; seven grandchildren, Cody McCarraher (Kristin), Kaylyn Dollar (Aron), Sydney Davis, Katelyn Davis, Austin Houser, Madison Houser, and Emma Houser; one great-granddaughter, Reece McCarraher; in-laws, Becky Richardson, Joe Wyant (Scottie), Don Wyant (Dottie), John Wyant (Elaine), Sarah Parrish, Ida Williams, and Patty Wyant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, for the Blessing Box Food Ministry, PO Box 7, Vale, NC 28168.
