David Arthur Austin

David Arthur Austin, age 64, of Lincolnton, died on Friday, April 9, 2021.
David was born in Lincoln County to the late James Austin and Barbara Tate. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Randy Austin, and half-brother, Chuck Austin. David served in the United States Navy, which included a tour in Italy. He worked for PWA Builders, Safeway Removal, and was part owner of Quality Tree Service. He was known for his jovial personality and could always be counted on to make friends laugh.
He is survived by his daughter, Krystal Austin of Maiden; two sisters, Gwen Wells and Jovi Reis, both of Asheville; half-brother, Steve Austin of Denver; half-sister, Amy Redmond of Charlotte; step-mother, Rachel Austin of Lincolnton; and life-long friend and caretaker, Ronald Smith.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Long Shoals Wesleyan Church, 3032 Wesleyan Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
