Sherry Lynn Noles
( October 10, 1964 - April 11, 2021 )
Sherry Lynn Noles, age 56, of 5721 Reepsville Road in Vale, died on Sunday, April 11, 2021 on her way to church.
Sherry was born October 10, 1964, in Lincoln County, to Brenda Leatherman Noles and the late David Noles.
Sherry shared her time with the community her entire life through serving as a Girl Scout leader, a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Lincolnton including through the prison ministry, the church nursey and the Global Outreach Team. Her commitment to service was evident in her time at Atrium Health Lincoln in environmental services and her 29 years with the Department of Motor Vehicles. She loved teaching children, her friends from Goodwill to orphanages of Haiti, and always knew what would make you smile. She served the least of us with the most enthusiasm and her generosity of love will linger with us and our community forever.
She is survived by her mother, Brenda L. Noles; two brothers, Jeff Noles and Michael Noles (Donna), all of Lincolnton; sister, Amy Brady (Arlan) of Lexington, SC; nephews, William Brady and Jacob Bush; and three nieces, Elizabeth Noles, Ainsley Noles, and Katherine Brady.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sherry’s memory to charities that support the community.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 pm on Sunday in the Fellowship Hall prior to the service at the church.
