Dolores Capristo Wilmer

Dolores C. Wilmer, age 80, of Crouse, passed away peacefully at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas on April 18, 2021.
A Service of Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at St Dorothy’s Catholic Church with Father David Miller officiating. Inurnment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends graveside.
Dolores was born on December 8, 1940, in Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Sarah G. Capristo of Crouse; daughter, Connie H. Zamora of Crouse; and grandsons, Adam Zamora and Rusty Carpenter.
Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Vincent Wilmer; daughters, Kathy Knight (Lee) of Lincolnton, and Holly Hilton of Crouse; sister, Sally Webb of Gastonia; brother, Michael Capristo (Carol) of Blowing Rock; grandchildren, Elizabeth R. Carpenter of Lincolnton, Jacob Zamora (Meg) of Denver, CO, Denique Maynard (Sean) of Mountain Island, Sarah Ross of Lincolnton, and Bryan Zamora (Jacque) of San Antonio, TX; stepchildren, Eric (Wendy), Amy (Mike), Adam (Carrie) all of Virginia; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church, 148 St. Dorothy’s Lane, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Robin Johnson Hospice House, c/o Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
