Obituaries

William Max Johnson, age 78, of Southside Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Mr. Johnson was born August 28, 1942, in Lincoln County, to the late William Paul Johnson and Ilease Gilbert Johnson.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Scronce and Peggy Connor, and a brother, Jimmy Johnson.  He worked as a traffic manager in the trucking industry.  Mr. Johnson was a member of Southside Baptist Church. 

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Johnson of Lincolnton; twin sister, Maxine Armstrong, and husband Jerry, of Lincolnton; and two grandchildren, Dakota VanCise and Shane VanCise, both of Lincolnton. 

A service will be held a later date.
