Jacqueline Barkley Lockman

Jacqueline Barkley Lockman, age 72, of Hill Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 10, 2021.
A graveside service with entombment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Forest Lawn Mausoleum with Rev. Dr. Stanley Spence officiating. Mrs. Lockman will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Warlick Funeral Home for those wishing to pay their respects.
Jackie was born April 25, 1949, in Lincoln County, to the late Jack and Edith Wease Barkley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin “Charlie” Lockman; and siblings, Martha “Mott” Abee, Doris B. Poole, and Michael Barkley. She worked as a phlebotomist in the lab at Lincoln County Hospital and Atrium Lincoln.
She is survived by a daughter, Angela Lockman Cable, and husband Michael, of Conover; brother, Edward "Butch" Barkley, and wife Karen, of Charlotte, sister, Harriett B. Smith of Hickory; granddaughter, Lauren Holcomb of Conover; and step-granddaughter, Lauren Cable of Coral Gables, FL.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 201 Robin Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
