Cynthia Griffin Sutton Ballard, age 57, of 2886 Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 10, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Covenant Church with Rev. Mike Devine officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Cynthia was born October 29, 1963, in Gaston County, to the late Jimmy Eugene Griffin and Judith Hovis Griffin. She worked as an assistant general manager at Hampton Inn, Lincolnton.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Ballard of the home; sons, Travis Sutton (Lauren), and Spencer Sutton (Lauren), all of Lincolnton; daughter, Brittney Mosteller (Jake) of Hickory; sister, Tina Griffin Weaver of Seneca, SC; brother, Kenny Griffin (Julie) of Gastonia; five grandchildren, Adleigh Sutton, Abree Sutton, Lane Sutton, Joseph Sutton, and Beau Sutton; nieces and nephews, Jessica Cesaro, Kiley King, Ashley Parks, Quinn and Wells Griffin; and great-nieces and nephews.
