William Jewel Brooks, Sr., age 68, of 2831 Woodgate Road in Lincolnton died on Monday, May 24, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Blazing Trails Ponderosa Church with Rev. Harvey Gates officiating.
Mr. Brooks was born January 17, 1953, in Lincoln County, to Betty Crotts Brooks and the late William Junior Brooks. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Carrol Dean Brooks. He was employed over 32 years by Timken.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Artis Brooks of the home; son, William Jewel Brooks, Jr. of Denver; daughter, Michelle Brooks Hufton, and husband Shane, of Lincolnton; mother, Betty C. Brooks of Lincolnton; brothers, Ricky Lee Brooks of Crouse, Roger Dale Brooks and David Allen Brooks, Sr., and wife Cindy, all of Lincolnton; and two grandchildren, Jade Sun Brooks and Gwynith Jewel Brooks.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
