Rachel Evelyn Stamey Bame

Rachel Evelyn Stamey Bame, age 83, of Randleman Road in Iron Station, died on Friday, August 6, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hugh Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:15 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Bame was born April 14, 1938, in Lincoln County, to the late James Bud Stamey and Ila Mae Long Stamey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Keith Bame; sister, Joan Campbell; and three brothers, Hal Dean Stamey, Howard Stamey, and Glenn Stamey. She was vice president of JMG Textiles.
She is survived by a daughter, Nikki Akins (Ronnie) of Iron Station; brother, Donald Stamey (Peggy) of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Alysse Akins, Kailey Akins, Gia Akins; sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Stamey; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
